Stewart Cowley was a commander in the TDA during the Proxima Wars, where he flew SSF 21D Cutlass Mk. IIs as part of the 13th "Bear" Squadron. Following the Peace Treaty, Cowley was assigned to Terra as a TDA liason officer to the TTA. Due to an interest in spacelfight history, he was assigned to the TTA Public Information Office, and was involved with preparation of exhibits for the Mars War Museum and the Galactic Technology Museum. He wrote Spacecraft 2000 to 2100 AD, and as of 2100 was busy building a full-sized Cutlass replica out of macaroni.
