The stage is set in a peaceful forest near the Ancient Citadel. During the 11th to 13th centuries, Europe's forests had begun to shrink in size due to increasing human population. The Unknown Forest thus became a haven for not only wildlife, but for those individuals shunned by society. The platform which the fight takes place on is partially encircled by water, enabling ring-outs to three sides of the ring. There is also an owl peeking out of a tree, observing the fight, along with some deer.
