Chico Travis was an aeroball player for the Harlem Heroes who had been on transfer to the Seattle Swifts when a road crash had killed many of the other Heroes. Upon hearing that the Heroes were attempting to rebuild the squad, he requested to be transferred back. During the match against Gorgon's Gargoyles, Chico was pushed into the path of the ball by Artie Gruber, the ball smacking him in the face and smashing him against the score-tank where he died.
