During the Mandalorian Wars and Jedi Civil War, the squadron flew the Aurek-class tactical strikefighter during its tours of duty aboard various Republic Navy warships. In 3,956 BBY, the squadron was one of three Marine units called into action by Admiral Forn Dodonna as she gathered a fleet to confront the Sith forces guarding the Star Forge in the Lehon system. During the Battle of Rakata Prime, the squadron escorted elements of the 26th Marine Battalion and a number of Jedi Knights, including Bastila Shan and the redeemed Revan, as they boarded the ancient battlestation and factory.
