Cade was selected by Jedi Master Keto Medorma in 110 ABY. As most younglings saw the Ithorian Master as a war hero, Cade saw him as an old man instructing them out of boredom. She expressed her dislike towards him when he made multiple attempts to teach her Jar'Kai, calling him "an ignorant old man".
