The Super Rank is a rank that Mario's partners can achieve once they have been powered-up with a Super Block. This was first introduced in Paper Mario. This allows them to use more moves in battle and their attack power increases as well. Getting to the Super Rank in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is now different. Now, Mario must speak with Merlon who lives next door to Professor Frankly order to power up his partner. Unlike in the previous game, Mario's partner's HP also increases.
