Bulky Exploratory Armor was designed to operate in harsh weather or atmospheric conditions. Rarely worn by scouts, the BEA had an integrated rebreather and oxygen cylinders. It could also be employed in place of a standard enviro-suit for EVA work. The BEA had removable weight boots with magnetic soles, and was equipped with tool and utility belts. The helmets had inbuilt comlinks and flashlights.
