Stepney is a wise, cheerful, honest, kind and hard-working engine who loves to work on his line, the Bluebell Railway and visit the engines on Sir Topham Hatt's Railway. He always lives to learn a lesson and to listen to advice. Strangely, he finds pulling freight cars fun! He and his friends are cross with the diesel who is very rude to them. He later ready to go back home in the Bluebell Railway after he says goodbye to his friends.
