RIM Kamloup was created by municipalities in the eastern part of the Kamouraska MRC and western Rivière-du-Loup MRC. It ceased in late 2012 with the creation of Régie intermunicipale KamEst. Saint-Antonin operates its own fire department, while Notre-Dame-du-Portage and Saint-Modeste are covered by Service de Sécurité Incendie de Rivière-du-Loup.
