The Imperial Ministry of Defense was a ministry in the Galactic Empire's government that specialized in homeland security. That basically meant that Emperor Palpatine tasked the Ministry with protecting his favorite planets and worlds strategically important to the Empire. It had several child agencies, such as the Customs & Immigration, Drug Control Agency, and Construction & Quartering Service. By extent, it had limited control over the Imperial State Security Committee.
