Starships, also called spaceships, Spacecraft, space vessels, but commonly referred to as "ships" (not to be confused with seafaring ships, which are called aquatic ships or "boats"), are vehicles used to travel through space. They vary greatly in size, function and design, from small one-seated fighters to mighty battleships or passenger liners several kilometers long.
