Gourmelin is a human character who appears in the Smurfs comic book story "Gargamel's Twin Brother". He is the identical twin brother of Gargamel, and is considered the disgrace of his family for not following in the same evil footsteps of said brother. In the story, Gourmelin pays his brother a visit, his resemblance to the latter initially confusing Papa Smurf and Sassette, as they see him head towards Gargamel's castle. He offers his hostile brother a magical walking stickman that he says will fulfill whatever single wish a person wants. Naturally, Gargamel accepts the gift, wishing the stickman to help him find the Smurfs.
