The Babelfish Virus is a water-borne illness caused by leakage from AltaVista. Infected agents are forced to speak their language's version of Engrish, an effect that persists even when filtered through the Universal Translator. Medical is capable of curing the illness. The virus is not related (except by name) to the babelfish of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
