Transcom was a trading company that existed before the Butlerian Jihad; they flourished for about 7000 years and had more than 12000 ships. Various mercantile association subscribed to Transcom's service, Centrans, such as Van Rijn combine, Asconel, Far Traveler Couriers and many others. When Jihad crusaders assaulted Xenophon and other establishments, Transcom collapsed, along with other similar companies. Their end marked the end of regular interstellar trade and left a room for the Spacing Guild to fill.
