Kala's city is an underwater city ruled by King Kala and populated by the Shark Men. Flash Gordon and Dale Arden are brought to the city in a hydrocycle in the third chapter of the 1936 Flash Gordon serial. In the fourth chapter, Princess Aura fires a ray gun at the mechanisms controlling the city, causing the seals to break. The city is flooded and destroyed.
