Scale Mail is a type of body armor in Diablo II. This armor is generally first encountered in Act II. Due to its lower strength requirement in comparison to the heavier armors, it is useful for characters that do not invest heavily in strength. It is heavy armor, and correspondingly slows run/walk speed by 10% and increases stamina consumption rate by 10%.
