Cliff Gerrard (died 2000) was a Lancashire poet and writer who contibuted 4 episodes of Coronation Street between October 1981 and May 1982, one co-written with Leslie Duxbury. He also wrote the poem To Sarah which was recited by Albert Tatlock in Episode 1805 (3rd May 1978) at a Lancashire night in the Rovers. Born in St. Helens, for many years from the 1970s he contributed to the magazine Wigan Scene and later became its editor. Apart from a short spell living in Wigan, he lived most of his life in St. Helens and died there a short time after suffering a stroke.
