Lyle Chumley was a barber and a resident of Chester's Mill. Lyle along with Sam Verdreaux, Pauline Rennie and Melanie Cross are the first people to find the egg in 1988. When they found the egg him, Pauline and Sam wanted to leave, but Melanie wanted to protect it. When Melanie wouldn't leave Lyle pushed her and accidentally killed her.
