The Babble Bath was a formula Gargamel created to make Clumsy start talking after the accident in Papa Smurf's laboratory that gave him perfect memory in the cartoon show episode "The Chief Record Smurf". Gargamel hoped that he would get the secret to Papa Smurf's invisibility formula from Clumsy by exposing him to the bath. However, he also got Clumsy telling his whole life story which included one of Gargamel's failures, which irritated the evil wizard until Clumsy finally got to the invisibility formula. By the time Clumsy was rescued by the Smurfs who were using the invisibility formula along with Smurfette, the Babble Bath had washed Clumsy clean of his perfect memory, including that of Papa Smurf's invisibility formula.
