Luke Theodore Walton (born March 28, 1980) is an American former professional basketball player and current Head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers. Walton previously served as assistant coach for the Golden State Warriors alongside Head coach Steve Kerr, leading the Warriors to win the 2015 NBA Finals. He was drafted 32nd overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft by the Lakers out of Arizona, Walton played 10 years professionally, 9 years with the Lakers winning two championships. He is the son of the Hall of Famer Bill Walton
