The Sovroc drive was one of the smallest Protoss warp space engines developed before the Great and Brood Wars. These engines were equipped to smaller crafts like Shuttles and Scouts to travel extremely long distances normally done by larger starships (Stargate - Atlantis: Tau'ri modified Gateship). Working in tandem with Khydarin technology for power, Sovroc drives rarely experienced power loss unless pushed to the limit in combat. Eventually rendered obsolete with more efficient and powerful drive, only a few shuttles still use the drives.
