The 1958 Northern 500 was a Grand National (now Nextel Cup) event held at Trenton Speedway on May 30, 1958. Fireball Roberts won his first race of the year, leading 380 of the 500 laps in route to a two-lap victory on Junior Johnson. Eventual season champion Lee Petty finished 3rd.
