Monsters ran in 30-minute slots, with 72 episodes being aired over the couse of three series. As the title suggests, each episode featured a monster of some description, from blood-sucking vampires, to undead Vietnamese soldiers, to carnivorous killer plants. Several of the episodes were adapted from stories by notable authors such as Robert Bloch, Frank Belknap Long and Stephen King.
