Danaan tactics were a type of defensive tactics. One was used by the Rebel Alliance's Commander Jun Sato in his command of Phoenix Squadron against the Galactic Empire's Seventh Fleet during the Battle of Atollon in 2 BBY. Imperial Grand Admiral Thrawn recognized Sato's use of it, going so far as to calling it "bold."
