The 1962-27 was a Grand National (now Nextel Cup) event held at Southside Speedway on June 22, 1962. Jim Paschal took the lead with just a few laps to go, but pulled away to a one-lap, ten-second victory on Rex White, Paschal's first triumph of the year.
