Bara Chambers played two parts on Coronation Street: Mrs Dewhurst in May 1971 and Mrs Tetlow in March 1980. She also appeared in Boon and The Tomorrow People and many episodes of the Granada series Crown Court where she used her real-life shorthand writing skills to play the part of the Court Stenographer. She is the mother of Vikki Chambers who appeared on the programme as Michelle Fenton in September and November 1981; and Sally Waterman between November 1983 and February 1985.
