The FRM250 was introduced at the 2014 Winter NAMM Show as a limited edition in honor of Gilbert's 25th year as an Ibanez endorser. Ibanez also referred to the model in some materials as the FRM25. The FRM250 features a mahogany body with a bound flamed maple top and a mahogany and maple set-in neck with a 22-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. Components include a fixed bridge and tailpiece, Gotoh tuners, Graph Tech Black TUSQ man-made ivory nut and DiMarzio pickups in an HSH configuration. The tone control is active only in the 3, 4, 5 pickup positions.
