Payiferen is a region, containing a pod, in the Pod Age. The pod stands in an arid tundra with an occasional mound. The high winds have shot rocks through one of the pods windows allowing the sun to come through in the day which shows that a tint has been added to the glass, as it is much brighter outside. A species of giant bird called Sandscrit lives here.
