The birth of male wookiees born to the royal line was always a well-preserved recording in wookiee culture which was how the Galactic Republic found a record of it centuries later, during its waning years. As a child, Krubacca was very adventurous and would try to sneak out of his home whenever he could to go exploring in the lower levels of Kashyyyk, much to the annoyance of his grandmother, whose role was to make sure the heir to the throne did not end up recklessly and obliviously injuring himself before he learned to take care of himself.
