The Radio Lecturer gave a talks programme on Network Three (the early evening educational programmes on the BBC Third Programme) about art and twentieth century realism that Ken Barlow and temporary lodger of 9 Coronation Street Dave Robbins wanted to listen to as he was one of Ken's old lecturers from his university days.
