Mittern Station was a Federation Space station in service in the mid-24th century. In 2358, Admiral Edward Janeway, along with his daughter Kathryn Janeway and her fiancé Justin Tighe, took the Terra Nova, an experimental prototype ship, on its first long-range test flight. They spent the night before their arrival in the Tau Ceti system at Mittern Station. At the station they had dinner with Admiral McGeorge Finnegan, an old friend of Admiral Janeway's.
