Large bat is a type of monster in ADOM. Whilst quite evasive, they are one of the weakest monsters in the game. Since bats rely on echolocation to locate other beings, they are capable of 'seeing' the PC in darkness and/or if they are invisible (as of v. 1.2.0). As flying creatures, they can also cross water unhindered.
