Kotholl, a hired hand from the merchant's camp, was ordered to guard three specific chests with his life. He states it would be bad for the contents to fall into the hands of the Maulborn. The Vestige need to search the bodies of the dead merchants to find three keys. Once they find the keys, they can open the three locked chests.
