At the farm, Joe and Matt come in for their morning coffee, to be told that Dolly has had to go to Hotten for Sam's cakes. There's a phone call which Joe takes. It's bad news. The Milk Board have discovered brucellosis positive in the monthly milk screening. Nellie comes to the farm for her tea with Sam and things seem to be rip-roaring along. Sam and Nellie talk about the past and just as Annie comes in with the tea it looks as though Sam is planning to make some sort of a new life with Nellie.
