Aphid Cove Women's Wrestling (shortened simply to ACWW) is an all-female professional wrestling company. It takes place in the fictional location of Aphid Cove. The company was originally known as Aphid Cove Wrestling, founded by Charles Townsley on June 20, 2001. The independent federation drew a moderate audience, and after realising the increase of female talent, Townsley decided to move much of his company's focus to them. In early 2009, more than 75% of the wrestlers on the roster were female, so Townsley made the bold decision to close the former federation and establish an all-women wrestling company, branding it as Aphid Cove Women's Wrestling.
