Oto Michii ("Oto" also transliterated as "Woto")(17 July 1871 – 10 January 1982) was a verified Japanese supercentenarian who became the oldest living Japanese person after the death of Koharu Kodaira on 10 April 1980. At the time of her 110th birthday, she was living with her daughter Hagino (born when Oto was in her early 40s) and stated that she appreciated getting a pension check from the Japanese government. One of her hobbies was to watch samurai-themed films. Having attributed her longevity to eating healthy, she also enjoyed watching cooking shows on television.
