This is a list of the major fictional characters in Robotech, the American adaptation of three Japanese animated series: The Super Dimension Fortress Macross, The Super Dimension Cavalry Southern Cross, and Genesis Climber Mospeada, as a single TV series. The series is divided into parts called "generations" which are subtitled The Macross Saga, The Second Generation, and The New Generation. Additionally, there is a fourth cancelled part to the series called The Sentinels. Recently there has been a new part called The Shadow Chronicles.
