A. Roberts was an Umbrella Corporation research division trainee. They were used by the director of the Umbrella Executive Training Center, Dr. James Marcus, as part of his experimentation with his modified Progenitor Virus. After their role as Marcus' Guinea Pig, Roberts was transported to the Arklay Laboratory for further experimentation.
