Noibat was being attacked by Swellow and Taillow when Noibat met Jon, in Picking On The Noibat! After Jon helped Noibat out, Noibat decided to travel with Jon. During the battle with Olympia, Jon chose Noibat and Solosis to help out to win the badge. During this battle, Noibat evolved into Noivern and gained a lot of power due to the evolution.
