Count Maximos Atreides (d. 2191 AG) was father of Peleus Atreides. He lived during the Era of the Princes, with his House's economic ascendancy. This all ended with Emperor Sidir XIII had him killed during an audience, ending thus the ascendancy of the House. However he was avenged by his son.
