An Orion energy orb (also called power orbs) was a device known to the Orion civilization. It was a small glowing sphere and was quite valuable. In 2372, an Orion traded half-a-dozen energy orbs to Benzar Okrin, which were intended for Manimoujak until they were seized by Kira Nerys and Ro Laren. (DS9 novel: Wrath of the Prophets)
