Christos Papadopoulos was the husband of Wendy Papadopoulos. She met him in 1991 after spending a year alone following the separation from Ken Barlow. The couple married and moved to Norfolk. After living there for fifteen years, Christos developed terminal lung cancer and passed away. Wendy returned to the Manchester area shortly afterwards. When Wendy and Ken met up again as governors at Bessie Street School in the autumn of 2012, she told him about her marriage to Christos.
