A xenoc is an extra-terrestrial life form, and can be sentient (as with the Kiint and Tyrathca), or one of the many non-sentient species found on worlds throughout the Confederation. Xenospecies’ basic biochemistry is essentially similar to terrestrial creatures’. (tNG:4)
