A war begun in 2137 as the Eden Terraforming Complex on Mars sets off bombs on the surface of Mars that inadvertantly collapse a major Zangali city buried deep in the ground, killing thousands. The war would continue for eight years, prompting several colony vessels to depart Sol System. In 2143, the Zangali set off nuclear devices in Washington, D.C., London, Capetown, Beijing and Moscow. In 2145, the war ends with the signing of the Luna Accords.
