Alpha Cygnus IX was the inhabited ninth planet in its star system. The Treaty of Alpha Cygnus IX was named after this planet. (TNG: "Sarek" ) This planet was only mentioned in dialogue. According to StarTrek.com, Alpha Cygnus was the classic Bayer designation for Deneb. (the correct Bayer designation of Deneb is really Alpha Cygni).
