The Mako-class Battlecruisers were a uniquely-designed class of warship designed by AEC Shipyards for use by the Griffon Armada. Until their appearance in late 10 ABY, the Armada relied upon warships acquired from defections, extensive reclamations and overhauls, or other dubious methods. Their complement of proton torpedoes gives them good defences against Starfighter attacks.
