The home base for SPARTAN GROUP Ascendant, the Soul of Ice was participated in both Battles of Earth. It contained a complement of highly trained individuals, and was the base for multiple operations by Ascendant, including the final, disasterous, campaign in North America. This ship was reknowned for it's constant upgrades, given bleeding edge technology at every turn. By the time of the Fall of Reach, the Soul of Ice was using many functional prototypes of upscaled covenant technology.
