HoloTube was a HoloNet holovid-sharing channel that was extremely popular within the Galactic Empire, particularly in the Core Worlds. Most of the channel's content centered around Imperial-approved celebrities du jour and their antics; endless ramblings from Imperial citizens who could afford to record themselves in full holo, as well as the stupid tricks of their pets; Imperial Board of Culture-approved music holovids, and snippets from commercially-available holodramas. The site was often plagued by "unapproved" uploads, which included Rebel propaganda and broadcasts, as well as full versions of copyrighted holofilms and other media. At least one person was executed for posting endless streams of anti-Imperial tirades.
