Hot Plates are a hazzard that apear in both De Blobs. It has a different effect in the two games. In de Blob , you get stuck on the plate and have to shake the controller to get free before you die, and you also lose 30 seconds of time. In the sequel, hot plates set you on fire, causing you to slowly keep losing paint points and have to find water before you die.
