Hidoma is a hot dry world orbiting a yellow G6-class star a little dimmer and cooler than the Earths sun. It has 9.1 million inhabitants. The planet itself is in geological terms, quite old but the mountain ranges higher than Alps. Low hills with grasslands and facilitate reforestation are the dominant terrain makes road trips quite easy. The world Stargate and DHD stands in a park in a major urbanized area. Twenty-story structures surrounding the Stargate all showing signs of unrepaired damage to the upper floors. A mounted stone ramp leads up transit ride Stargate with the back looking down on a stone copy of the DHD. The city of Shimana covers about 150 square kilometers, including distant "suburban" areas.
